From an early age, I have been passionate about health, active living, and adventure. I thrive on new experiences, meaningful connections, and immersing myself in nature. In my personal time, you may see me hiking, skiing, scuba diving or exploring the beautiful trails of Vancouver Island. My love of family and friends is paramount, and community connection is a very important aspect of my life. To me, wellness is not only the absence of disease, but it is also the ability to engage in what we love, fuel our passions, and live our lives to the fullest. I love that my Naturopathic medical training allows me to provide practical and result-oriented care in order to guide my patients in their quest to achieve their personal vision of wellness, naturally.
I am driven to find out the “why” to any health concern. This entails addressing the underlying root cause, rather than just managing symptoms of illness. Whether your goals are to work towards disease prevention and health optimization, or whether you are looking to peel back the layers in understanding and addressing a complex condition I believe in an individualized, compassionate and straightforward approach. Together, we can navigate your journey to health so that you can maximize your state of wellbeing, and engage in what is most important to you.
I completed my Naturopathic Medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. As part of my clinical internship, I was a member of the clinical focus shift treating patients suffering with Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. I have also treated patients at Brampton Civic Hospital; Canada’s only Integrative Naturopathic Clinic in a hospital setting. There, I was involved in implementing the Integrative Diabetes Trail, researching the most effective Naturopathic Treatments for Type 2 Diabetes.
Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine, I worked at a health and wellness company where I delivered personalized wellness plans to clients with Metabolic Syndrome working in a corporate setting. I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at McGill University which helped lay the foundation for my passion in addressing the mind-body connection in relation to health, and the importance of an integrative and holistic framework when addressing wellness.
These experiences have fueled my desire to have a family-centered practice with a clinical interest in stress and energy production, hormonal health, chronic pain and complex conditions such as autoimmune and metabolic disease.
I am inspired to work together with my patients to navigate health concerns, overcome barriers, and find evidence-based solutions. Let’s get you feeling your best from the inside out. I look forward to meeting with you!
